A women’s call to work song
I learned this one from Goldenbridge Choir; it’s a delight to sing and easy to join in on. This is an example of a call-and-response work song. A work song is usually sung while conducting a task (usually to coordinate timing) or sung about a task which it describes. Work songs, and call-and-response singing, are thought to be as old as historic records themselves.
