Deborah says:

-I thought it would be fun to bring a “love” mash up to Living Room Choir, as we were meeting on Valentine’s Day….so I wrote one.

-Please forgive the ambient noises of my puppy, playing percussion during my recording. (What can you do? …..Love?)

Part 1:

“All we need is here” is taken from a Wendell Berry poem, set to music by Episcopalian priest Rev. Amy McCreath. The five words are the closing sentence of the poem, “The Wild Geese,” which inspired Amy to write this tune: “Geese appear high over us, pass, and the sky closes. Abandon, as in love or sleep, holds them to their way, clear in the ancient faith: what we need is here.”

Part 2:

“Love is all you need” is the title and chorus of the Beatles song, written by John Lennon and attributed to Lennon/McCartney.

Part 3:

This is a line from a layer song I wrote, titled “Sweet Bird Fly”. I was searching for a high harmony in all kinds of sources. Then I remembered my own! A perfect fit. Oh so gratifying when that happens!

Lyrics:

Part 1 (low):
All we need is here (4x)

Part 2:
All you need is love, All you need is love
All you need is love, love; Love is all you need

Part 3 (high):
While I may find my way
Guide my gaze to the sweet light of love
