Lyrics
It’s in every one of us
To be wise
Find your heart
Open up both your eyes,
We can all know everything
Without ever knowing why,
It’s in every one of us
By and by
It’s in everyone of us
To be wise,
Find your heart
Open up both your eyes,
We can all know everything
Without ever knowing why,
It’s in everyone of us
By and by
It’s in everyone of us
I just remembered
It’s like I been sleeping for years,
I’m not awake as I can be
But my seeing is better,
I can see
Through the tears,
I’ve been realizing that,
I bought this ticket
And watching only half of the show,
There is scenery and lights
And a cast of thousands,
Who all know
What I know,
And it’s good
That it’s so
It’s in everyone of us
To be wise
Find your heart
Open up both your eyes,
We can all know everything
Without ever knowing why,
It’s in everyone of us
By and by,
It’s in everyone of us
By and by

“It’s in Every One of Us” (originally styled “It’s In Everyone Of Us”) is a song by singer/songwriter David Pomeranz, later interpolated into the 1986 British musical Time.
The song was performed by John Denver and the Muppets on the A Christmas Together album, at the end of the medley that includes “Alfie the Christmas Tree” and “Carol for a Christmas Tree.” John sings the song likewise in the John Denver & the Muppets: A Christmas Together special. Denver and the Muppets performed the song again in the television special Rocky Mountain Holiday.
“It’s in Every One of Us” appeared as part of another medley in A Muppet Family Christmas. The song was led by Robin the Frog, who was joined first by his uncle Kermit and then by the casts of The Muppet Show and Sesame Street. It was also sung as part of the tribute to Jim Henson at his memorial.
