The video below is the raw improvisational origin of the song, which was written in response to a songwriter’s challenge (writing prompt: “Morning”). I was on a deadline and didn’t really know how to work TikTok but here’s the recording I have so far.
I will also add that I was happy to create a song that contains “sun arise/sunrise” because I previously enjoyed singing Sun Arise by Rolf Harris but no longer want to teach it due to his conduct which came to light in 2014….so I’m happy to claim that phrase in a song I feel comfortable sharing, singing, and teaching.
