Listen to Maggie’s recording of her song in the video below. You can buy the track and the album at her online store or directly here: https://music.apple.com/us/album/walk-with-me/1441718449. For LRC’s arrangement by Kaitie Ty Warren, as well as lyrics, scroll down.

Kaitie says:
Maggie Wheeler (beloved friend and mentor) wrote this song and at some point I found myself doing a very slow version with the shruti box, before breaking out into the rhythmic version. It wasn’t long before I had a chance to lead it at Song Village with Maggie there, and (fortunately) she loved my arrangement.

This recording is from Living Room Choir sharing it at a gathering, led by Kaitie with Sara’s support. Ben Sikora on drums; Kaitie Ty Warren on Shruti.

How shall we come together?
We shall come together singing.
When shall we come together?
We shall come together now.

How shall we hold the suffering?
We shall hold the suffering singing.
When shall hold the suffering?
We shall hold the suffering now.

How shall we light the darkness?
We shall light the darkness singing.
When shall we light the darkness?
We shall light the darkness now.

How shall we teach the children?
We shall teach the children singing.
When shall we teach the children?
We shall teach the children now.

How shall we rise above it?
We shall rise above it singing.
When shall we rise above it?
We shall rise above it now.

How shall we come together?
We shall come together singing.
When shall we come together?
We shall come together now.
