Lyrics:

1.  How lucky are we? x4 (optional echos)

2.  Thank you x4 (optional echos)

3.  For the____________(songs, each other, the earth, puppies…) (optional echos)

Sara writes: This layer/zipper song is meant to be a bit of music medicine to help shift you into joy and gratitude. The road map is fluid. If you have many singers, any or all of the parts could echo across the circle to each other and improvised harmonies or additional lines are welcomed.  I picture singing in a circle to each other, or even two or three concentric circles walking and singing the three parts.

How Lucky Are We burst out one morning after reading a request from Kaitie Ty Warren for a picture of the floor at Church of Truth (beloved home of Community Choir Leadership Training or CCLT in Victoria CA).  Sara had the great good fortune of attending a two-week training with CCLT in October 2023 and Kaitie attended CCLT training back in 2016.  As Sara combed through the many beautiful pictures in search of that gorgeous floor, memories kept spilling out and thoughts of all the opportunities and joy and friendships that have grown since meeting Kaitie and finding the Community Singing world and how beautiful life can be, even when it’s not pretty everyday (a nod to Laurence Cole and his wonderful song Let Us See The Beauty).
